DESCRIPTION:Much as I enjoy my “solo troubadour thing” these days, after 35 years of playing in bands, I do miss collaborating with other musicians. Anybody who’s been in a band knows that one-of-kind buzz that comes from those magical musical moments when everybody’s “hittin’ the note” and that special cozmic chemistry happens.\nSo…when Alan Tofig of The Accidental Brothers, Eastern Hellbenders, and other Delaware Valley bands invited me to put together a John Prine Tribute Show, I was all in. Alan and I have been working hard on creating duo arrangements of about 30 of John Prine’s songs; it’s been big fun swapping ideas, and for me, dusting off my too-long-dormant “ensemble skills”.\nPlease join us at Chef “Tod the Mod’s” fabulous Starving Artist Cafe (18 Bridge St., Stockton NJ) on Wednesday evening, May 14 from 6-8pm for dinner and our two-hour John Prine Tribute. The food is always amazing and I’m pretty sure the music will be too.
